Who I Am

I founded Mended in 2019 out of a deep commitment to supporting families during some of their most difficult times. With over 26 years of experience working with families and a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development from Purdue University, I understand the unique struggles parents face, especially those involved in the foster care system. My approach is hands-on, no-nonsense, and deeply rooted in the belief that every family can heal and thrive with the right support.

What I Do

At Mended, I specialize in Placement Prevention & Reunification Services for families in west-central MN. I know that keeping a family together is the best outcome for everyone involved, which is why I offer in-home services that educate and support parents to prevent children from being placed out of the home. When reunification is the goal, I provide In-Home Supervised Visitation Services right here in west-central MN, ensuring that parents and children can maintain their bond in a safe, familiar environment.

My Parenting Skills Coaching program in west-central MN is designed for families who need a little extra help navigating the challenges of parenthood. Whether you’re struggling with your child’s behavior or just want to improve your parenting toolkit, I’m here to guide you with practical advice and personalized coaching that meets your family’s unique needs.

Why I Do It

I get it—parenting is tough, and it can be even tougher when you’re facing the added stress of legal requirements, custody issues, or behavioral challenges. That’s why I’ve designed my services to be as accessible and stress-free as possible. I come to your home, so you don’t have to worry about transportation or the added expense of travel. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, because I know that life doesn’t stop at 5 PM.

But most importantly, I do this because I believe in you. I believe that with the right support, every parent can create a nurturing, stable environment for their children, no matter what obstacles stand in their way.
